There were so many of them, each cuter than the other (not that one can really tell them apart).
Two became very friendly with us and after a few nuts, I got to experience a side of nature that I have to tell you I always dream(ed) of.
To look into the eyes of a wild animal, but at that a precious little animal who put its trust in you is one moving experience.
For me this was like having, as the song goes “the whole world” in my hands.
For in holding that precious life in the palms of my hands, I got to connect with the greater purpose that binds us all together, to appreciate life - all life, and to marvel at its magnificent existence.
